Back-story
Preaching the band idea back in '10
We had our start on new-years eve of 2010 when our bassist jumped up on a chair and announced that she wanted to start a band. We had our first rehearsal that Friday, and we've been going ever since. Back then we were 'the iBand'. We had a hard time finding someone who could drum well, until one of our keyboardists (Michael) got a drum set, and then he became the drummer. I think the first three notes he played were in time. Then we found out 'the iBand' was already taken. We needed a new name. In a brain-storming session we were all getting tired of, someone said (jokingly) "How about 'Going up in an elevator'?" The elevator was cut, but 'Going Up' stuck. We were 'Going Up' until May 2015 when we changed our name to Miraje, an Acronym for 'MIchael Rowan And Jenna', which was the band at the time.
